Administration

The Administrative Offices consist of the Mayor, City Council Members, City Administrator/Building & Zoning Administrator, Assistant City Administrator, City Clerk/Treasurer, Assistant City Clerk, and the Summer Recreation Program. Customary duties of the Administrative Offices include payment of property/tangible tax bills, payment of waste bills, occupational license fees, gross receipt tax information, payroll tax information, and process all other accounts payable and receivable. The Administrative Offices also issue building and zoning permits for new construction, remodeling, decks, pools, fences, and other construction projects.

Terry Vance

Terry Vance

City Administrator

Terry has been employed as City Administrator since 1991. He holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University. He is the first City Administrator for the City of Wilder. Terry was awarded the Outstanding City Administrator award by the Northern Kentucky Area Development District for 1997-1998. In addition to being City Administrator, Terry also serves as the city’s building inspector. He has been a Level III State Certified Building Inspector since 1986. Terry has also served as the codes administrator and zoning administrator since 1993 and is responsible for the city’s flood plain administration.

City Clerk/Treasurer

Juanita began employment with the City of Wilder on May 1, 2017 and is our City Clerk/Treasurer. She is a Notary and will be working towards her certification for Kentucky Municipal Clerk over the next three years. Juanita is a member of the Northern Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association. Juanita attended Morehead State University and Northern Kentucky University. She was previously employed at the City of Newport where she worked in the payroll and accounts payable department and also assisted with collection of property taxes.

Assistant City Clerk

Karen was hired as our Assistant City Clerk in 2017. She has a degree in Psychology from NKU. Her previous experience includes working in the Kenton County Clerk’s and Kenton County Sheriff’s offices. Karen is a member of the Northern Kentucky Municipal Clerk’s Association, she is a Certified Kentucky Municipal Clerk and is currently working towards her Kentucky Master Municipal Clerk certification.
